The Beautiful Attractions in the City of Faridabad

Faridabad was founded in 1607 AD by Shaikh Farid. It is an industrial city of Haryana. Motorcycles, refrigerators, switch gears, tractor, tires and shoes are the city's popular industrial products. It can be reached through Indira Gandhi International Airport located in New Delhi. The city has a great climate between October and March because the rains range from moderate to heavy between June and September.

The city is also well-known for attractions. One is the Bhadkal Lake a perfect place for retreat, adventure and holiday vacation. This lake is a man-made reservoir. It is located 32 kilometers from Delhi.

During spring the lake is a beautiful spot of flowers. A flower show at the lake is usually held on that time of the year. The lake is also a perfect place for adventurous sports such as trekking, canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing. There is also another lake near to Bhadkal Lake known as the Peacock Lake.

Another famous place to visit is the Raja Nahar Singh Palace located in Ballabgarh. This 18th century palace is believed to be constructed by Rao Balram, a powerful man during 1739. Nowadays, the beauty and heritage of the courtyards and pavilions of the palace charm many visitors. The architecture and antique touch were delicately given with modern emphasis.

There are six beautifully decorated guest rooms, lounge, bar, restaurant and public areas that can be found. The palace is even beautified with antiques, stone jallies and delicately carved arches. There are also relics of a bygone past. All these could take one back to the times of the Raja Nahar Singh.

Another recommended spot is the Suraj Kund. It is a complex and excellent place for picnic spot. It has a distance of approximately 8 kilometers from South Delhi. It has a lake surrounded by rock cut steps.

In this wonderful complex you can find the Rajhans. This pool is said to have fresh waters that can heal illnesses. There is also a beautiful garden inside the complex.

A handloom and handicrafts fair is an important event here. This annual fair in a typical setting in Indian marketplace is called Surajkund Crafts Mela. It is a 15- day activity from February 1 to 15.

In this event, you can see the displays of the rich crafts tradition of India by the professional skilled artisans from all over the country. There are Cultural programs which include folk dances, acrobats and magic. Rural cuisines are also an essential part of the fair. Food served in clay pots and Banana leaves is as well available.

Also, you can have the chance to see traditional crafts being made. You can even buy embroidery and lace work, metal and cane products, and ethnic mirrors directly from the craftsmen. Other products that you can buy are bangles, toys, and more.

Lastly, Dabchick is also another place to visit in the city. This lively complex is a 14 acre area of a variety of attractions. It is situated in Delhi-Agra highway. It is about 92 kilometers from Delhi.

Here, there are available camper cottages on stilts and camper huts for budget tourists. Air-conditioned accommodation in a motel, bar conference, restaurant and gift shop facilities is as well as provided. There is also a lake for boating experience behind the motel.
